I met Thomas where I work and he was always very friendly and loved to chit chat. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and enjoyed hearing him practice his drums before any gig he would be taking part in. Always wore a smile on his face. Going to miss him coming in our small talk. RIP sir and now you will be playing in the biggest band ever!! God bless you! Condolences to family and friends.

Tom was the drum line and percussion instructor for Greeley West High School for a number of years. He was beloved by the percussion students and made a significant contribution to their music education. The band did an annual Halloween marching show in costume and one year the entire drum line dressed as Tom in his classic blazer with scarf and open collar shirt. It was a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much of himself to his students. He was one of the most even tempered and positive people I have ever met. He was a master of percussion and had a great passion for sharing it with anyone who desired it. The music community in northern Colorado has lost a major contributor to the many ensembles of the area. My sincere condolences to your family and many friends. Rest in peace my friend. You will be greatly missed.

The thing that instantly comes to mind when I think of Tom is his obsession with all things percussion. We were in grad school together, and we played in the Fort Collins and Cheyenne Symphony Orchestras together, and it amazed me that Tom probably had 10 different-sized triangle beaters (and probably 10 different triangles to match)!! He was a fine musician, and a good guy. He'll be missed.
