Obituary for Ronald A. Murphy

Ronald Murphy, 74, of Alba, Texas; formally of Greeley, Passed away on September 29, 2019 in Quitman, Texas. He was born to Lorenzo Murphy and Lucille Lee on July 22, 1945 in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania. On January 10, 1969 in Silver Springs, MD, Ronald married Ida Bosen.
Ron and his brother, Joe owned and operated Western Marble and Granite, and Jefferson tile until 1999. Then Ron joined his son, Scott Murphy in Dreamstone until 2013 when he retired.
Ronald loved to hunt, fish and being outdoors as much as he could. He and his brother, Joe, would take friends to hunting and fishing trips as often as they could.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (David) Donley of Brighton; son, Scott (Becky) Murphy of Greeley; grandchildren, Bryan Mollendor, Cheyenne Donley, Chase Donley, Jolee Murphy, and Jayla Murphy; siblings, Betty Mackleroth, of Lakewood, Wally (MOnteen) Murphy of Mt Morris, PA., Joe Murphy of Grand Lake and Shirley Gilmer of Virginia, and a large extended family and friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Ida; parents; brothers, Max Sterling, Eddie Paul Sterling, and Gerald Murphy.
Life Celebration memorial will be held at 11 am with visitation starting at 10 am, Friday, October 18, 2019, at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue in Greeley, Colorado.
