Obituary

Myrl F. Korgan, 85, of Greeley, formerly of Ault, passed away Thursday February 6th, 2020 at North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC) in Greeley surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Myrl was born to Arthur and Nora (Talbert) Korgan in rural Fort Lupton. He had two sisters, Ardyce June and Gayla (Shutt) and five brothers, Daryl, Lavern, Freddie, Lennard, and Cleo.
Myrl was raised in the Fort Lupton and Gilcrest areas.
Myrl married his high school sweetheart Lynda (Haley) on June 9th, 1957 in Greeley. They raised five children, Margaret “Maggie” (Blandin), Doris (Hixson), Thomas, Carol (Korgan) and Robbie (Korgan-Reed) and one grandson, Dwayne. Myrl and Lynda raised their family in the Ault area.

Myrl worked for Wykert and Weber, Inc. for nearly forty-four years. He left that employment after the farm was sold. The farm was owned by Otho Wykert and Marvin Weber. He later worked at other local farms.
Myrl enjoyed bowling, WWE Wrestling, fishing, camping and most of all, spending time with family. He taught all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to fish and enjoy the outdoors. He will be remembered for his compassion and willingness to help others, his giving attitude and orneriness. Myrl was not a complainer. He always believed to be thankful for the things one has. Even in poor health, Myrl thought of those who were “worse off” than him.

Myrl was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda; his son, Thomas; great grandson, Christopher Nathanial; his parents and siblings, Ardyce June, Daryl, Lavern, Cleo and Freddie.
He is survived by his brother, Lennard; sister, Gayla (Jimmy) Shutt; daughters, Maggie, Doris (David Russell), Carol, Robbie (Terry); 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way.

There will be a visitation Sunday February 16th, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley.
A Life Celebration Service for Myrl will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday February 17th, 2020 at Adamson.
