Obituary

Daniel James Bernhardt, 26, of Greeley passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 in Larimer County. He was born on March 14, 1994 to his parents, James and Lynn Bernhardt in Fort Collins, Colorado. Daniel attended Windsor schools and graduated from Windsor High School in 2013 and received and Associates Degree in IT from IBMC in 2018.
Daniel excelled as a CNC machine operator for Creative Foam and was highly regarded by his coworkers and supervisors. He was greatly interested in robotics and his high school team qualified for the PFC international robotics competition in 2013. Daniel could be called an avid outdoorsman and thoroughly enjoyed target shooting, camping, hiking, and fishing. Daniel was also interested in other technologies taking up PC gaming, 3D printing, and computers, to name a few. He could always be seen working with his hands and tinkering in whatever he found interesting. Daniel was becoming a connoisseur for whiskey, bourbon, and scotch, teaching his friends the proper ways to enjoy them. Last, Daniel also really enjoyed reading and researching many subjects and has been called a walking encyclopedia.
He is survived by his parents, James and Lynn Bernhardt; sister, Elizabeth Bernhardt (Gregory Buckhout) and grandparents, Charlotte Bellais and Leroy Bernhardt (Sharon), uncles and aunts, Douglas Richardson (An), Andria Richardson, Constance Schmidt (Donald) and Carol Serna (Lee), and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Douglas and Aleda Richardson.
In honor for his love for the outdoors, in lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the “Rocky Mountain Conservancy” in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Family and friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
A visitation will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 12 at Adamson Life Celebration Home. The family asks that wearing masks and social distancing be observed.
