Gary Linn Bird
Nov. 7, 1950~March 15, 2021

Gary Linn Bird, of Greeley, passed away March 15, 2021 after being a warrior fighting cancer.
Gary was born on November 7, 1950 to Rolland and Margaret Bird in Hastings, NE. The family moved to Colorado Springs in 1958. Gary played football in high school, earning a letter jacket and graduated in 1970. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972. On August 8, 1970, he married Cindy Hall and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year.
Gary and his family moved to Greeley in 1991 for his job as a dispatcher for oil trucks. He also drove a truck for many years. For the last 14 years, he enjoyed working for Rubadue Wire.
Gary really loved his Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, golf, cooking, playing poker, but most of all spending time with his family and friends and he was always right.
One of Gary’s favorite birthdays was his last, in which his daughters and granddaughter surprised him when they flew up from Texas.
Gary is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughters, Lorinda and Tina; granddaughter, Vonae all of Kingwood, Texas; siblings, Cheryle (Jim) of Colorado Springs; Mitch of Calhan; Linda of Colorado Springs; and Dan (Ray) of Oregon; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Eddie) of Colorado Springs and Iris (Tom) of Kingwood, Texas; several nieces nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolland and Margaret Bird; grandparents, George and Anna Daniher; in-laws, Lucille and George Hall; and sister-in-law, Shirley Bird.
Visitation 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Adamson. Life Celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 at Adamson with a reception to follow. Please wear your Bronco gear; Gary would love that!

Oh so many great memories. All the weekend drives to the Springs from Denver. Myself being the youngest. My job was to annoy and I'm sure I was a master. He would still be so kind to me. Years of adult life passed but the family get togethers at my parents and the conversations on that deck will always be remembered. RIP Cousin. Love and hugs
