Lynda R. Housel, 82, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at her home surrounded by her four children. Lyn was born April 3,1938 in Denver, CO. Two days later she was adopted by Lynn and Hilda Robison and was brought home to Greeley where she lived most of her life. Lyn attended Greeley schools and was part of the Greeley High School class of 1956. She married William (Bill) Housel and together they raised four children. They later divorced.

Lyn’s life revolved around her family. She was a homemaker extraordinaire. She loved cooking, canning, knitting, sewing, quilt making, gardening, and reading. She always strove to do her very best at whatever endeavor she was involved in. Lyn held various jobs in the community after her children were grown, working at Greeley Medical Clinic, Union Colony Bank, and Mountain View Academy. Lyn also enjoyed working on the reunion committee for their class reunions, and she met with several classmates known as the Brunch Bunch every month. She enjoyed making quilts for veterans and her family.

Lyn was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband.

She is survived by her children, Laurie (Ralph) Anders, Tom (Lori) Housel, Wendy (Terry) Jantz, and Kris, grand children, Tyler (Shannon) Jantz, Bryan, (Tiffany) Housel, Heidi (Garen) Razoian, Katelyn (Kent) King, Preston (Mari) Housel, Ross (Cheryl) Anders, and great-grandchildren, Colton and Ella Jantz, William and Kate Razoian, Bryson and Wyatt Housel, Rayne and Gwen Housel and Rudy King.

A Life Celebration will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Adamson Life Celebration Home. A private family inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family requests for donations to two of Lyn’s favorite charities, the Weld County Humane Society or the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47th Ave., Greeley, Colorado 80634.
