My most sincere condolences. I met Mike a year ago, and even though it has been a short time, it was enough to realize the level of professionalism and the positive attitude he radiated. Him and his family will be in our prayers.

Mike was one of the most fantastic human beings I have known...and a great engineer! It was great working with him, he will be sorely missed.

As a colleague of Amy's at McAuliffe Elementary School, I became one of those sometimes referred to as a member of the village who helps raise a child. Truly, I was only a bystander, but I fondly remember Amy sharing her joy when Michael hit those childhood milestones: "He's growing so fast" - " Last night's homework...!"- "It's Prom Week" -"He won his first tournament!".
When you are an elementary teacher, your children become an important part of the school's collective family. I remember Michael as a handsome, thoughtful, polite little boy who loved his brother, Mom and Dad. As he grew, so did the village who knew him, and he made them proud.

We are deeply saddened by Michael's passing and send our heartfelt condolences to his entire family. We didn't have the opportunity to be close to Michael as he became a young adult, but we closely followed the news of his successes, academically and athletically. We did get to know Michael quite well as a young boy in grade school as he was a good friend of our son through school, scouts, and sports. We were always impressed by this young man. He was always cheerful and smiling. We never saw him lose his temper or say an unkind word about anyone. He threw himself into any activity with unbridled enthusiasm. He was a good, loyal friend to his buddies and treated everyone with respect and kindness. He was a great role model for his young friends. We will remember him fondly.
