Rick has departed this world to reunite with loved ones in heaven. He was born April 13, 1959 and passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2021 at his home in Greeley where he lived with his dog Suzy-Q, his brother Gerry and sister-in-law Lovice.

Rick was a very kind and gentle soul who loved to help people and always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He loved to play games, especially Spicy Farkle, with his family and friends. Many hours have been spent playing Farkle, Sevens, Uno, and Kings in the Corner, especially during the pandemic. When he could, he loved to go out to various establishments and play poker. Scratch tickets were another favorite, as well as video games and Italian food. He also liked to fish and tried his hand at that whenever camping at a lake with family and friends or at some of the ponds around Greeley. Rick’s last job was working as a dishwasher. Previous to that he also mowed lawns and worked at Schaefer Enterprises.

Rick attended the Life More Abundant Christian Church and enjoyed the friendships he made there.

He is preceded in death by sister Debra Morris, parents Donald D. and Mildred Morris and his grandparents.

Survivors include his brother, Gerry Morris and wife Lovice; nephew Jeff Morris and wife Leslie, two great-nieces Kaylee and Kendyl; niece Amber Rager and Jarrod Rager.

There will be a graveside service held on Monday March 1, 2021 for immediate family and closest of friends. A Celebration of Life to honor Rick will be held at a later date to be announced, possibly late spring or early summer.

I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He had called me on the 13th of February, we spoke for a couple of minutes about poker/where to go play poker. The day was very cold, and I told him I doubted much was going on. He was always the sweetest guy, would see me at Night Shots or other poker places and come over to sit with me. My friend, Zach, took him over the road a summer or two ago, and I know Rick really enjoyed the trip with Zach. May he rest in peace, and now he can play his heart out with the rest of our poker friends. He was a decent guy, always had a smile on his face. I will miss his random phone calls, and his sweet face. My condolences to his family. Deluvina Gries. .

I had the great privilege of meeting Rick, in 2013, and serving as his pastor for the last 7 years. He was a faithful attendee to Sunday worships, midweek Bible Studies, and monthly Men's Fellowship Breakfasts. Rick received Jesus as his Savior and I was honored to baptize Rick on Feb 19, 2019. I'll miss my "Buddy" which is what he affectionately called me. But I'm encouraged to now we'll one day reunite in Heaven.

Rick had such a loving and kind heart. He was always watching and waiting to lend a helping hand. I will miss him at our bible studies and church. The Lord allowed me to talk to him about a month ago and the last thing he told me was "to be safe." I am so grateful to know that Rick is safe now in the glorious presence of our Jesus.
