Virginia Ann Walters was born May 9, 1930 in Milliken, Colorado to William and Lena (Sloan) Herter. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 19, 2021 at the age of 90.
She grew up on the Herter farm in the Johnstown area where she attended schools.
Virginia is survived by her son William (Linda) Walters, daughter in-law Sharon Walters, 5 grandchildren, Richard (Jody), William (Nancy), Brooke (Matt) Maynard, Joshua (Misty), and Kyle (Katie) as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Walters, son Ronald Walters, parents and younger sister Barbara Tregoning.
Virginia was primarily a homemaker for 73 years in the Johnstown, Milliken, and Platteville area. She also worked various jobs during her life, but the longest job was with Hewlett Packard in Loveland. Virginia was one of the first people hired by Hewlett Packard when they came Loveland, retiring in 1976.
Virginia and Herman enjoyed traveling after she retired. They traveled to Hawaii, Spain, and Mexico. They also made several trips to Calgary, Canada to visit Herman’s cousins.
She enjoyed knitting, embroidery and sewing. Everyone in the family has something in their home made by grandma.
Visitation 12’noon to 1 p.m. Thursday followed by Life Celebration at 1 p.m. at Adamson. A reception will follow at Adamson with a private Family Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
